The table top is not standard treated with a protective varnish and is not pre-drilled. For protection against spillage, you can treat the top (both top and bottom) with Natural Wood Protector 2k. The table legs are made of powder-coated black metal and have an extra thick attachment that makes it fit under heavy dining tables.
